The Port Authority of Allegheny County has proposed cutting 121 of 213 bus routes. Your County Executive, Dan Onorato, currently supports this plan.

11 neighborhoods in the city and over 80 county-wide will lose all bus service. Thousands of workers throughout the county will lose access to their jobs. Students will lose their ride to school. County residents will not be able to get to doctor’s appointments, the grocery, to visit relatives and friends, and countless other destinations. An estimated 400 transit workers will lose their jobs.

We need to make Dan Onorato and our state legislators understand that these cuts cost too much and that we must have adequate, dedicated funding from Harrisburg to STOP THE CUTS.
